Topic: UFX Channel Pan, Width, MS Proc, or Phase Settings Not Being Recorded

Hello,
I've been having some trouble recording anything other than unaltered stereo or mono tracks into my Macbook Pro (confirmed on both Cubase and Ableton) using my Fireface UFX.

If I apply pan, stereo width, MS processing, or phase settings to any channel, they aren't honored in the recording itself.

This is true regardless of whether loopback mode is enabled.

I'm assuming I am doing something wrong, but cannot immediately determine what it might be from the manual (for example pages 55-57).

See attached screens & annotations for details.

Thank you!

Re: UFX Channel Pan, Width, MS Proc, or Phase Settings Not Being Recorded

This is intended and normal behaviour. These effects are applied in monitoring only, the recording path bypasses the mxer essentially. The only effects that can be applied to the recorded signal are the EQ and Dynamics at the input.

If you wish to record effects applied to an output signal, use the loopback feature (see manual).

Yes, you did not read the manual which states this exact behavior. And BTW, applying M/S to a recording makes zero sense.
