Hi,

is there a solution for the problem that TM flickers on those Nvidia Graphic cards ?

I also remember that I had the same issue on my business Laptop 2y ago, also Win7.
When I configured TM to run not on Intel HD graphic but on nVidia GPU, then it instantly flickered quickly.

Could this be fixed somehow ? Or what information do you require ?

Stupid question:

Is there any advantage for you when running on the nVidia GPU?

I used to have a Macbook with dual GPU's and never found an advantage when running on the nVidia, unless doing video rendering in Black Magic's Da Vinci Resolve, which uses CUDA.

Unfortunately, the Macbook died because of the nVidia GPU...

However, I don't play games. That could be faster on the nVidia.

I ask mainly for a guy who has only a Laptop with nVidia GPU on it ....

I heard now he found an information, that "D2D" needs to be deactivated in TotalMix.

"Graphics
   • Use D2D (Change requires restart). Default on. Can be deactivated to use a compatible but CPU-taxing graphics mode, in case graphics problems show up.."

Sorry, my misunderstanding.

IIRC D2D is DirectX, gaming technology. I hope you're not counting on disabling DirectX alltogether.

I think your info comes from the FF400 manual. And it might be outdated info. I don't know, I've never had that problem.

you should check in nVidia Optimus settings which gpu is defined for Totalmix.exe smile

Also, disable the screen saver. This stopped the flickering immediately for me!
