have Windows Media player
Vlc Media player and Quick time media player,

I cant get sound in any of  them ,if I play movies on them I get the pictures, but no sound.

If I try to play sound only:

VLC and Quick time “plays” sound files but no sound comes out

With WMP I get a warning

I have Cubase 7 and Wave Lab 8 which work well

The soundcard is RME  AIO and it is in sync via spdif

Even when Cubase and Wave Lab are not started the media players will not work.
And I have the Asio in the background  thing switched on

Can it be something with the soundcard?
