Topic: Delay for an output channel

Hi there,

I'm using a HDSPe AIO in a media PC for the audio signal when watching videos and TV.
On some occasions I'd like to be able to delay the audio signal, e.g. for lip sync.
I know that's impossible to achieve with this card, but maybe it is possible
with an interface supporting TotalMix FX? Maybe via a reverb or echo effect,
setting the dry signal to zero and wet to 100%?

Thank you very much,
Klaus

Exactly that...

Re: Delay for an output channel

Thanks, that's good news.

Is the quality compared to the undelayed signal untouched?
I've just ordered a ADI 8 QSM, I already have a Forssell AD/DA converter, and I expect they'll have different signal delays (presumably with the ADI having a smaller one   (-:  ).
If the "echo" is just used as a delay, that'll be an ideal way to get both coverters synced, right?

Kind regards,
Klaus

Re: Delay for an output channel

Compensating two converters with TM FX is not possible as the echo delay values can not be set to such small numbers of samples, which equal around 1 ms. Echo delay starts at 10 ms in steps of 10 ms.
