Topic: Gain acting strangely

Today all of a sudden in Totalmix,  I needed to set my left microphone to 48 (Gain) to have the same level for the right at 38 (Gain) =https://flic.kr/p/NqBnBr/

Material RME Babyface PRO.
Microphone Neumann KM 184
Imac Running on Sierra mid 2011- 6 gigs RAM

This was not the case even yesterday.
I changed the cables and the same result.

Any hint of what is going on?

Thanks for any insights...

Re: Gain acting strangely

Just fiddled around some more and changed the stereo phase (more left) up to about L20 then back to 0 and now it all is fine.
I checked the firmware up to date.
Very strange behavior does anyone know why?

Re: Gain acting strangely

Re: Gain acting strangely

No no pad just the usual I posted a screen shot here https://flic.kr/p/NqBnBr
That being said as you can see from the screen shot I set a 12db difference so the 11db from the Pad option may be the problem.
But I did not as you can see click on Pad, so there may be a problem with the software.
As I said by changing the stereo width manually and reseting it back to zero somehow fixed the 11 or 12 db missing from the left channel...

Re: Gain acting strangely

If you have this problem again simply toggle PAD Off/On.

Question: are you on the latest TM FX 1.31 or 1.34?
