Topic: Separate input names & SW labels in TotalMix

Hey All,

Been using RME interfaces a long time now.

TotalMix is brilliant but it has one annoyance which I'm thinking could be an easy fix.

I have outboard permanently patched into my setup, for which I've labelled up the inputs and outputs in TotalMix, but it can then make following channel numbers difficult when in my DAW.

For example, ADAT14 on my RME is Focusrite EQ2, but I have to then count through the input numbers to figure out which IP number this will come up as in ProTools or Reaper.

While I could label them up individually in the DAW, it would then mean my I/O labels look weird when I take my machine and work elsewhere.

Could we have an extra 'row' of labels in TotalMix which shows the channel number?

Thanks!
Alex

Isn't 'Names' what you are looking for? A simple channel number from 0 to x is not possible as in some interfaces the channels are differently sorted in ASIO and TotalMix FX.
