Topic: No sound headphone outputs/fireface ufx

Just bought an IMac and has an RME fireface ufx I have used for years with a MacBook pro. No problems.

Upgraded the iMac to
firmware: 357
Driver: 3.01

Now I found out that my headphones outputs doesnt work. No action on the meters of the hardware or totalmix.
The meters on main output/AN 1/2 are working. There is sound in my speakers.

-ihave assigned the headphone outputs to pH 9/10 and 10/11
-I have tried "total reset" in totalmix options menu.
-I checked my old MacBook pro and headphones are working there.
-two times i plugged the USB straight from my MacBook (after setting up with totalmix) to iMac and suddenly the headphones worked. But then the screen is locked to the warning of mismatch between hardware and totalmix. If I answer "yes" or "no" the sound in headphones instantly goes away.

What can I do to fix this?

Kind wishes Stig!

Re: No sound headphone outputs/fireface ufx

Hi!
Dont remember what I did. But have you trues this:
Click «phones 1» in totalmix
Turn up the fader on «AN 1/2»
Click «phones 2»
Turn up the fader on «AN 1/2»

Re: No sound headphone outputs/fireface ufx

Come on, this is easy as stigaar says.
Every (!) HW output is a submix.
Ensure TM FX is in submix mode.
You click to a HW output, i.e. Phones Output.
And then you raise the fader of
- HW input channels - top row - (audio coming directly from the recording interfaces inputs)
- SW playback  channels - middle row - (audio coming from application, either via ASIO or WDM driver)
