Topic: Adding more Analog Inputs to RME UFX II

Hello!  I am considering buying the new RME UFX II -- but I need more Analog Inputs.  I have a lot of analog synthesizers -- so I use two Echo AudioFire 12's clocked together to create an "Echo AudioFire 24" that has 24 Analog IO -- and I use every single Analog Input (and still need more!).   I typically only use about 8 of the Analog Outputs though.

So from my understanding, I must make use of the ADAT ports to add more Analog IO -- what I'm wondering though -- what is my best solution, for under $2,000?  I'm not sure it's worth upgrading If I have to buy a $2,500 interface, and spend another $2,000 to get a few more high quality analog IO.....

Hi what are you trying to gain? No of inputs? Audio Quality? Low latency performance? Totalmix FX?
What OS? PCI(e) slots available? etc...
