Topic: ADI8QS startup Fs

Hi.  I've added an ADI8QS to my system.  I'm usually running at double speed, input from MADI, clocked from wordclock at single speed.  When I power on, the DS state is not restored.  Is this normal?  all other front panel settings are retained.  Firmware is 3.1

Also, did I see a mention of RME Midi remote supporting digital patch mode at some stage, or is this ancient history?

Thanks
Simon

Re: ADI8QS startup Fs

That sounds like you have the follow Clock feature active.

Can you explain the second question again?

Re: ADI8QS startup Fs

I don't have FC on, just confirmed on front panel and with remote:

For the second question, on page 27 of the QS manual:
"The new Digital Patch Mode will be supported (configuration and saving of setups) soon in an updated version of MIDI Remote. The Digital Patch Mode is already now remote controlable, see the table of MIDI commands in chapter 19.3 of this manual. "

i'm pretty sure this is not implemented in RME Midi remote v1.71 ?

Re: ADI8QS startup Fs

I note that my Micstasies power up with DS, and they have the same clock setup as the ADI8QS.

Re: ADI8QS startup Fs

Well, I changed my clock setup.  I removed the wordclock, and the (synchronus) ADAT input, and changed the clock source to option MADI.  Now the ADI8QS starts up in DS mode.  I don't understand why that would change my issue.  What am I missing?
Here is the new setup:
