hallo guys
as title says i am abouth to buy an rme converter and my choice is between these two can someone help me out to clarify wich is better or if ds mkIII is as good as the adi8 qs.
seemed at first the adi 8 qs was more high end cause of the price but reading tech specs and given that adi8 mkIII is newer maybe its not the case.
someone who has compared them?

Do you have already a recording interface ?
Do you require eventually MADI in terms of cable length ? With optical up to 2km.
Do you need a converter or could it i.e. also be an UFX II or UFX+ .. ?
Do you need Preamps occasionally ? UFX+ and XTC via MADI is also an excellent combination.
I love my ADI8AE which a DS mk1.... I have nothing to wish. Maybe better ears?

hallo tx for the reply i am planning new setup and also buying a raydat hsdpe to be used with one of the above converters, no need for preamps
there is very little info around about the adi8 ds mk III
Digital input/output trim, range 6 dB per I/O
Analog and digital limiter for AD-conversion
16 LED level meters with 7 LEDs each
included Remote control for store/recall, volume and DIM
Fully remote controllable
Midi
Above are not available on the DS.
I would not expect any difference in audio quality!
Hence the price difference
