Topic: Windows Audio Glitch Detection Log Messages

Hi all together,
I have a question because I got stuck at this point:
Does anybody know what's the "Audio Glitch Detection" in the Eventviewer of Microsoft Windows?
The Log is full of messages with level information:
KS Endpoint Glitch: IOMGR No Outstanding Packets: pOwner=[0xe5c7c90b50] NextStreamingPacketToComplete=[1] MaxPacketCount=[6]

As long as I can see this doesn't affect any audio devices, but I want to know what this is about.

I am using
"Windows Server 2012 R2 "
with an "HDSPe AES"- Card
and the Driver "RME Hammerfall DSP 4.1.4.0"

Re: Windows Audio Glitch Detection Log Messages

I don't think anyone ever experienced these issues?

Some new findings:
It seems like it doesn't affect the audio device.
These errors pop up if you open the recording devices in the windows taskbar.

Seem to be a problem with a missing endpoint (speakers). The server is operated remotely, so maybe this is a reason.

Re: Windows Audio Glitch Detection Log Messages

This could be related to remote operation. Windows seems to get confused about where the device is residing. I'm guessing it is trying to talk to your local computer and not to the remote device.

I never did any audio apps with Windows server, but I did do a lot of serial applications and these suffer from the same confusion.

In the end, it was far simpler to do with Debian...

Hi
thanks for your reply. I will do some more tests to find out why this happens.
