I want to mention that the new Room EQ "Vol Cal. dB" knob in Totalmix FX is great for this purpose!

It can attenuate each output independently by up to 24dB, it disregards snapshots, and applies even when the "Room EQ" switch is turned off! Not available on the Babyface (yet?) though.

Only if you would rather not use the EQ for real use cases...

Much saver is to spend €25 for an attenuator ..
Then you have your head free and can activate / deactivate room EQ as you want.

The Vol Cal. is applied even when the Room EQ is turned off though.

I do use Room EQ for real use cases such as to calibrate my speakers response, subwoofer crossover, and individual EQ for each headphone output. I have saved all used (and usused) EQ presets with the desired Room Cal. attenuation so that my maximum listening level is attained at 0dB fader level.
