Topic: Using Fireface UC and Fireface 800 together

Hi,

has anybody experience with the following setup?

Windows 10 - Fireface UC connected via USB to computer - Fireface 800 connected via ADAT to Fireface UC.

The problem is that I just can't get the inputs of the FF 800 running. I have the feeling that I've tried everything - at least I spent three evenings trying.

The funny thing is that I have an old, cheap interface that I connected to the FF UC and it worked immediately.

So I would be really grateful for all kinds of advice or information!

PS The red host LED of the FF 800 is always on when I connect it to the UC.

The manual of the FF800 has details on how to configure the device for standalone operation. This does not just work without manual mixer setup, which will require a Firewire connection.

Thanks for your immediate reply. So I understand that it should be working - good!

I am running the FF800 directly via Firewire at another computer, so I have tried all kinds of adjustments in the preference menu there.

I am not very experienced with the total mix, but as far as I understand the manual I need to apply the preset 1 of the default settings.

I would be really grateful for any other suggestions and appreciate your help!
