Topic: Fireface 802 and ADI-2 - same conversion quality?

I'm thinking of adding an ADI-2 to my Fireface 802, so I can have an extra 2 inputs and outputs, either for monitoring or for my master buss external hardware I/O.

I'm looking at the specs of both and it looks like the ADI-2 conversion is very slightly worse than the 802. Is that so? Or would it be indistinguishable in the real world?

I'm worried that I could be taking a step down in quality if I use the ADI-2 for my most critical application. Both master buss and monitoring are equally critical.

Is it an option for you to get the ADI-2 Pro ?

Maybe in the future but not right now. That would definitely be a step up. However, if I did, I'm still not sure if it should go into the monitoring chain or the master buss chain! smile
