Topic: Use 802 as ADAT Expansion in Stand-Alone Mode?

Hi All,

Can I use an RME 802 as an ADAT expansion to my Apollo Twin USB interface - but in stand-alone mode?  In other words, I don't want to have Total Mix or any other RME software running.  I just want to turn on the 802, set the clock to internal, plug my external mic pres and synths in, and have the Apollo (slave) sync to the RME 802 (master).

Can I do this?

WIN7/64bit - all latest updates.

I record at 48/24 (once in a while at 96/24).

Pro Tools 12.7 and Cakewalk Sonar (2016.5) DAWs.

I don't own the 802 yet but I've found a used one at a very good price.

Thanks,
Danny V

If I read the manual correctly then you need an ARC to recall one of the 6 standalone profiles.
Am not sure whether profile 1 gets loaded on each startup.
