Topic: UFX II Main Encoder Knob

Just got a new UFX II to replace my 12 year old FF800 (which is still working great, BTW, with never a single problem... just wanted an upgrade).

My question is... is it normal for the main big encoder knob of the UFX II to be a little "loose" and have a little play in it between the detented or switched positions? The small encoders seem really firm and solid between detented positions. The main one has considerably more play between detents. Is this normal?

Not a big deal as far as actual function. Just not as solid as the smaller knobs. And not nearly as solid as my DAC2's encoder. Just wanna make sure that, for the most part, all the UFX + and IIs are like this, and it's not an issue, and not unique to the one I have.

Thanks.

That is indeed normal.

Cool. Thanks. I kinda thought it would be, but wanted to make sure.
