This may be an issue with the monitors but with the levels all the way down on the Yamaha hs5 I am still getting an audible signal...
The signal is low in volume but clearly audible.
I think the BFP is outputting very high because my JBL LSR308 were just destroyed last night during a late session using the BFP outputs but the level on my JBL was less than halfway.
FWIW, I am not having this issue with my original babyface.
