I've got a problem and need your help.

I own a Fireface UCX which I use for Audio Playback with two active studio monitors on the 1.&2. Ch and a subwoofer on the 3. channel.

I have this setup for over a year now and never had any problems. But recently the subwoofer started doing noises when I switch on everything. Especially when things are cold. After running for over an hour, things get better. The noise sounds like wind together with cracking sounds. No AC hum. First I thought the sub might be faulty. But I kinda figured out, that the sub gets dead silence, when I unplug the signal. So, I am afraid, that the Fireface might cause the problem. But I do not have the problem on my main speakers, just the sub.

Is the Fireface defect? Could it be a problem with the power supply? Is the channel defect? How long is the warranty on RME devices in Germany?
