Topic: RME UFX II making noise while opening Google Chrome

The audio interface is making a terrible noisy sound while I have my google chrome open, trying to play video tutorials on youtube, etc. It happened after I opened Cubase at the same time my google chrome was open. I have now closed Cubase, but they noise is still there and I am not able to listen to anything. If I open wav files I can hear the music, but the noise is still coming. What is going on?

You changed the sample rate for WDM while WDM was in use by starting Cubase with ASIO. That causes havoc. The solution would have been not to exit Cubase, but to exit Chrome and start it again.
