Its not possible... U need a computer with some kind of firewire port
If you get a new RME USB recording interface with TotalMix FX and 1-2 ADAT IN and OUT ports,
then you can connect the FF800 via ADAT and still use up to 16 of its input and output channels in stand-alone mode.
You only need to connect the FF800 one time via Firewire 400 or 800 card to configure the desired routing in and out
and then save it to the interface.
Suitable recording interfaces for this are i.e.:
PCIe:
- 1 ADAT IN / OUT: AIO (no FX chip on-board)
- 4 ADAT IN / OUT: RayDAT (no FX chip on-board)
USB2:
- 1 ADAT IN / OUT: Babyface Pro (partial FX on board), UC (no FX chip on board), UCX (full FX chip on board)
- 2 ADAT IN / OUT: 802, UFX II (full FX chip on board)
- 4 ADAT IN / OUT: Digiface USB (no FX chip on board)
USB3 / Thunderbolt:
- 2 ADAT IN / OUT: UFX+ (full FX chip on board), 64 more channels IN and OUT via MADI
