Topic: ADI-2 (classic) Monitoring Inputs on headphone ?

I bought a used ADI-2.

I connected signals to the Analog Inputs.

I did not succeed to get this signal on the headphone. The description (schematics in the manual) does not divide this section.

So I expected, the the headphone out delivers either the result of analog or digital input or the mix of both. Is this thought wrong ? Is it not possible to monitor the signal delivered to the analog inputs in the ADI-2 direct ?

Thank you

This is a simple stand alone AD/DA converter, with no mixer inside. The Phones out gets the same signal as the analog out 1/2, which is sourced from digital input.

AFAIK you can use a digital loop back if you have a free digital in and out. Just connect the spdif in and out or the optical in and out with each other. Selecting the one you use will make it available on phones and output. If you select the one without loopback it will work normal. And yes this is safe.
