Need some help here!!

I’be recently got s Chandler LTD-1 channel strip.
I use it as a front end to track but I also want to set up a Hardware output send to The line input on channel strip for further EQ and tone shaping.

I have external fax set up in Cubase and am getting signal out on ucx output 3 and back in channel 1 through the line input of chandler back to ucx.

The problem is, when I record it back into Cubase it’s got some weird phasing, it seems to be recording both the original signal and the new signal and blending them somehow ....

I don’t really know what’s happening here....anyone shed ANY light????
