Topic: Operational Mode in Standalone

Hi,

i am a new owner of the fireface UC and slowly understand it.
I use it together with Cubase on a Windows7 PC.
I have a 8 channel ADAT AD Converter and a SPDIF AD Converter connected.
All my equipment (Keyboards, Guitars, Mics, Effects) is connected to these items.
When i use it with Cubase i use the fireface in DAW-Mode.
But sometimes i would like to use it in standalone for jamming on the keyboards.
Can i change from DAW to Full-Mode in standalone?

Regards
Dirk

Re: Operational Mode in Standalone

Standalone operation means to use the UC without being connected to the PC.

If the UC is not connected to the PC, then you can not change the operational mode
from "DAW" to "Full-mode" and vice versa, this is only possible via TM FX and this
is only available if you connect the UC to the PC, but then its not stand-alone operation.

Re: Operational Mode in Standalone

I believe, and you can try this, If you set up the reset patch in totalmix, this has the same function as DAW mode. From that you can start to learn the submix mode, which has only advantages over daw mode. I work with my daw cubase a never needed daw mode. I audition all my synths through totalmix and not my daw. I can still record them without problems and they are on the same inputs (that is hardcoded). If you work like this you can just switch of your daw and still play and audition your synths.
