Topic: Having control over windows Sound Settings
Hello
Does the installation of RME windows sound drivers, grey out the default windows sound mixer controls normally found in the bottom windows taskbar (win7) ? if so, how can the be ungreyed so I can configure the RME Total mix channel that has the windows sounds.
I just can not configure any windows defaults sound mixer settings or controls as they are all greyed out ?
I recently installed audacity and noticed that sound preferences setting are very limited in showing the various RME I/O CHANNELS
for both record and playback
On a closer look they seem to replicate the windows mixer settings for both record and playback
So to change my record channels for Audacity I tried to change the windows record setting and add another RME set of channels, but I can not ? as every button and option in windows mixer is greyed out
So if I wanted to assign a different RME channel for windows sounds / default computer sounds how can this be done.
Really what I'm asking is how can get control with the windows mixer so that everything is not greyed out.
I hoping this will allow me to configure various inputs from the RME Total Mix in to Audacity Software
As I understand, Audacity software portaudio. PortAudio is a free, cross-platform, open-source, audio I/O library.
Which I think hooks on to the windows settings, so need to be able to have control over window mixer.
Any help will be very much appreciated oh i'm using windows 7 64bit
Thank You
