Topic: Phantom signal when using ADI-2 Pro's Analog Inputs?

When Analog Input is selected--and even if no signal is present or analog source is yet connected-- the RME ADI-2 Pro's "Analog Input" screen/display shows the presence of a signal which is depicted by a vertical bar centered at 25 HZ, raising to an about -33 db level. The lower part of the screen also shows levels for L & R (the two horizontal bars) each with separate values fluctuating independently (not the same) in the -65 to -77 (+ or -) dB ranges. I could sent a picture but I haven't figured out how to insert it.

You have set AD conversion to DSD. That is normal then.

Thanks Matthias. I see that when AD conversion is set to PCM the vertical bar at 25 Hz disappears, however the horizontal L & R bars are still there (basically same behaviour and level ranges as for DSD).

Normal again at higher sample rates (manual chapter 34.5 Noise Levels in Hi-Speed Modes. Note the ADI has a Peak signal display, not RMS).
