Topic: Is it possible to connect monosynth to the MIC input of Babyface Pro?

Using a cable with tele in one end and XLR in the other, would this be doable or not?

Re: Is it possible to connect monosynth to the MIC input of Babyface Pro?

IMHO it is best to use a DI-box for it. This will create the right level and impedance for the mic input.
You could make a cable and see how it works though, there are no risks involved. It just might sound bad, but you will only know if you try (distorted or dull), but maybe lowereing the level of the synth might fix distortiont if needed. Just be 100% sure phantom power is not on!!! A DI box will also eliminate the risks of phantom power blowing up you synths output.
