Hello,

I am using a fireface 802 for some years now, connected on the back from firewire 400 to my imac on firewire 800.

I am rebuilding my studio, so I was wondering if is worth changing the connection to firewire 800 > firewire 800 instead.

Am i going to gain anything form this change?

I am not recording simultaneously a lot of channels, just using 2 line ins from my mixer plus another 2 from outboard effects.

Will it help anything on the CPU of my imac or better latency with audio or midi?
