As this is no "best practise" design/approach I doubt that there will be any feedback on this.

I personally wouldn't trust such an USB to Fw adapter. Also its unclear which USB and FW chipset they use for this adapter.
Can't be a good one when looking at the price.

It is sometimes tricky enough for some users on some systems / mainboard / Chipset designs
to get the one OR the other to run.

But .. try it out. Send back if it doesnt work.
