Topic: Fireface 802 issues with Mojave + Mac Mini 2018

Hi all.

Just upgraded from a 2014 MBP to the newest model of Mac Mini, maxed out i7 6-core processor, 512 SSD and 32 GB Ram (upgraded myself).

I'm experiencing some wierd dropouts in my setup. The Fireface 802 will sometimes output a small 'click' sound, and playback will be silent afterwards. This happens regardless of what I'm doing, whether it's working in Reaper, listening to Spotify or just surfing the web.
When the issue occurs, I can still track input signal in Totalmix, and I can do direct routing from the inputs to the outputs and get sound though my speakers (and see input/output on the meters). The playback row seems to be totally dead. If i turn off and turn on the interface, the Fireface will not be recognized by the mac and no features will work... pulling the USB cable yields no solution either.

Only a reboot of the system will fix it. After the reboot, Mojave will show an errormessage of some sort, telling me the system was rebooted because of a problem.

I'm on the newest drivers and firmware.

Is there any solution to this?
