Topic: TMS with Digiface USB problem

Hi,

I'm having some trouble getting TMS over SPDIF to work with Wavelab 5 and 6 (later versions don't support TMS anymore) with the MME driver under Windows 7 64bit.

I tried inputs 1 and 2 as the manual states that input 1 doesn't support TMS, but input 2 also didn't work.
In digicheck (ASIO) I can see that the Start-ID subcodes are transmitted, but Wavelab (MME) doesn't add a marker.
4-byte-transfer mode is enabled in Wavelab (V5 "24bit alt." / V6 "32bit").

Is TMS not supported in the MME driver of the digiface? Many years ago it used to work perfectly with Digi96 series cards and Wavelab 5.

Did I forget an important setting?

Thanks,
Nils

Haven't used that for a decade. Can't WaveLab 5/6 not read TMS info using the ASIO driver?

Same with me :-)
But now I have a ton of old DAT tapes to transfer.

Unfortunately not.

Re: TMS with Digiface USB problem

Some research time later: TMS has never been part of the MADIface Series WDM driver since its release in 2014, and will not be added. The other USB series driver also never had 32 bit WDM support, TMS was added only for ASIO around 2010.

Re: TMS with Digiface USB problem

Matthias,
thanks a lot for your detailed response. This clarifies why it doesn't work.
I will use another system with HDSPe AES cards and Samplitude. I didn't want to block it with DAT transfers the other day, so I came across the digiface.

Danke!
Nils
