Topic: Does Fireface 800 work with Mac 2012 and 2018 OS?

Hello!

I wonder: is it possible to use the RME 800 Fireface simultanely (not at the same time though...) with a Mac Book Pro from 2012 with OS 10.7.5 AND a brand new Mac Book with OS X 10.13 High Sierra?

I saw a thread at the forum, explaining that you have to enter the security settings and "allow" apps from App Store & other places with the High Sierra OS, to make it work with Fireface 800.

But my question is, if you have to download a new driver for the Fireface 800 too, and if it then would NOT work with the old Mac Book with the OS 10.7.5, which it now runs with.
WHY this? Because I have a studio with a friend and we both dock in out Mac Books, and need to use the same Fireface 800...

Doesn't matter there is nothing uploaded to the device by the driver.
Firmware upgrades are a separate process decoupled from operation.
