Topic: Connecting old amplifier to RME Fireface UC
Hi! I own RME Fireface UC and I'm currently using ADAM A7 as my main studio monitors.
I'm looking for a secondary reference speakers to compare my mixes on in Cubase.
I happen to own older Hi-fi speakers Pioneer CS-3030 https://www.whathifi.com/pioneer/cs-3070/overview and so I would like to use them if possible. So I would like to purchase an amplifier for them and then connect that amp to RME.
My first question is: is that even possible? Connecting an old amplifier to RME? Would this work https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_libra … .shtml?tml ?
Secondly, will any amplifier that's compatible with the speakers do the job? Would some modern cheap amps do the trick?
And lastly, I would appreciate any advice on that matter. Later on during this year, I'll invest in some additional speakers that can be connected directly to my RME, but for now, I'm just trying to figure out how to hook up the stuff I have atm Thanks!
