Topic: UFX+ with mac pro tools 32 i/o limit - need a definitive answer please

Hi,
I have a regular old UFX connected to a Mac with High Sierra that works great.  I'm travelling this week and have a UFX+ rented for some sessions.  Will pro tools boot with the UFX+ connected since it has higher than 32 i/o?  Is there anything special I need to do to get this to happen.  I don't need the MADI interface just 8 analog, 8 lightpipe, and 4 front panel mic pres @96k.

According to manual: connect to USB2 and it will use only the 30 i/o

AFAIR from forum: If you connect it via USB3/TB it will use all channels but PT will only give you the 1st 30 ports (all but MADI).

With my madiface I can connect any of the 64 i/o (via patch in the i/o section). As long as the total of i/o does not go over 32
