Topic: RME UCX Keeps Cutting Out

Hey guys,

I have this problem when a number of USB devices are in use that it seems to make the UCX sound like it's cutting out.
I don't know what the correct term is but it sounds like it's not clocking properly? so all the sound is basically delayed and filtered and there is constantly MEGA loud pops that keep occuring.. BUT!! I can't record it, because it seems to only be an issue with the playback. If I use software to record my audio (like OBS) then it sounds normal when listening back to the video file but in real-time the sound is borked.
The way to fix it is to restart my interface, but then I have to restart all of my in-use programs so re-detect the interface again.
Not sure if its the headphone amp or what.

So again, as of right now I only have 1 hard drive and my keybord/mouse plugged in.. but if I put my iLok in or another external then after an amount of time the interface will work out again.

BTW, this does not happen with my backup £30 Behringer interface.. which is a bit silly.

Any help would be great
Thank you

Sorry, but your post contains zero relevant  information about your setup....

OS
CPU
Mainboard
RME driver version
Which other usb devices cause issues ?
To which usb port is uxc connectedfrom Chipset or 3rd party?
Did you try all other usb2/3 ports of your system?
What ASIO buffersize do you use ?
Are you using RME DAW driver in your DAW?

connected to the back panel / chipset, not a usb hub if thats what you mean?

Did you try all other usb2/3 ports of your system?
yes!

What ASIO buffersize do you use ?
same happens with 256, 512 and 1024 buffers,

Are you using RME DAW driver in your DAW?
yes, but this doesnt happen with just the DAW it happens with my windows sound too. and like I said, I can't record it, cause it's the playback where it happens
