Topic: USB 2 A-B cable question

Hi folks. Anyone have knowledge of tech specs USB 2 A-B cables? I have an RME UFX II and the supplied cable is too short for my new set up which needs a 2.5 meters cable. The usual high street suppliers stock 2m and 5m cables but call them 'printer cables' and the spec says 480mbps. Will the 5m cable be ok? Or do i need to buy a USB hub of some sort? If yes, can you educate me a little please? Thanks

These cables are always called printer cables. They are available in all lengths and usually work even with 5 m length.
