Topic: FireFace UC power supply

Hi all, a few months ago, I accidentally used the wrong power supply for my FireFace UC. The voltage was within spec so it was no problem until the power supply broke down. Only at that time, I discovered that I used the wrong one and replacing it with the original one, solved the problem. Now, the original one just died. It might be a coincidence, not sure if this happens a lot but I just want to be sure that there is nothing wrong with the audio interface itself which makes the power supplies go down. Is there something I can check, e.g. the current that the interface is drawing? If yes, what is the expected current? Is it a problem for the power supply or interface that it's on 24/7? I leave it on because otherwise my computer complains about missing sound cards (I also use a digiface). Thank you very much for you input!

Re: FireFace UC power supply

There is a manual:

32.6 General

•    Power supply: external power supply
•    Typical power consumption: 13 Watts
•    Current at 12 Volt operating voltage: 910 mA (11 Watts)
