Topic: Fireface UC vs Octamic

Just wondering if they're equal preamps as far as quality.
I know they have different functionality, but are the preamp circuits basically the same ?

No. Octamic uses a That chip for manual (analog) gain control, UC one from TI which features digital gain control.

No, it mainly works different (storable and recallable gain values...).
