Topic: Fireface UFX Mic noise when I touch XLR release button

Hi there,
I just bought a new Fireface UFX (series 1).
I was playing with it for the first time today and I noticed that every time I plugged or unplugged a mic on one mic channel (e.g. channel 9) I would see some noise on all the other mic channels (i.e. 10 - 12).
Eventually I unplugged my mics completely and tried just pushing the metal XLR release buttons on each mic in and realised that this was causing a very large amount of noise across all mic channels.
Finally, I noticed that even just tapping the metal housing of the interface around the area of the mic-ins produced some measurable noise.
Is any of this normal or do I just have a broken unit?

It is normal because you have all channels ramped up to maximum gain and nothing plugged into the XLR.
