Topic: TotalMix FX iPad app and charging

Can anyone tell me whether the problem with charging an iPad connected to an RME device by USB has been solved yet? Thinking of getting an iPad to control my UFX.

Yet? Since years Apple provides an adapter that has an additional Lightning port to connect to the Apple power supply. Also mentioned in all updated manuals.

No. ipad 2 doesn't have a lightning connector. Also, support for the new Lightning to USB3 camera adapter was added on a newer iOS version than what the old iPad 2 supports. (don't remember which one)

You can check the list of compatible devices on this page "https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MK0W … ra-adapter"

I just sussed the connector issue, came back to this thread and saw your post - thanks for the link for the compatibility. Cheapest looks to be a 2nd gen iPad mini. Do you think that is realistically big enough for control of TotalMix? I want to use one for controlling a UFX live.
