Topic: Connect Fireface 800 to Firewire 400 port: what disadvantages

Hello, I use my Fireface 800 with Cubase Pro 10.5 exclusively for midi projects with numerous virtual instruments, without using any audio ports in recording.
Please, I would like to know what disadvantages I would have in connecting my Fireface 800 to the Firewire 400 port instead of the FW800. In this case, could I receive higher latency values and more CPU load?
I would like to use the  FW400 port because it does not give me any problems, while with the fw800 connection my Fireface is not always recognized from my PC (Win 10 Enterprise LTSB). Thanks.

No difference in performance. FW800 is only needed for daisy chaining multiple units.
