Topic: HDSPe Madi random noise blocking everything

Hello I recently switched from an SSL Madixtreme to a HDSPe Madi. The card works great but I have randomly a problem (like three times a week). The audio stops and reproduces like a pink noise blocking all the computer so I have to restart. I use an Antelope Orion 32 connected to Rme: when I have this issue all the meters go on maximum.
I work on El Capitan. 4.15 Hdspe Driver Version. Madi rev 33.

Anyone has got an idea about this issue? Thanks so much.

Are you on the latest 10.11.6?

Also there is a newer 4.15 (4.15_2) driver wich fixes the MIDI part.

Else a look into the console might bring up error messages that could show the reason for that effect.

Thanks for your answer. Yes I'm on 10.11.6
I had already installed the latest version (4.15_2).

Within the console select your computer in the upper left, then use 'RME' as search value in the upper right. Interesting parts can be selected and copied/pasted into a text file (CMD-A, CMD-C, CMD-V).

If you don't find RME you could still check the log messages around the time the noise effect started.

As far as I can see the uploaded file includes no references to audio at all.

Hello, I still have problems. Yesterday my system blocked two times with the same issue. It's very annoying because when happen the volume of the noise is very high and it involves also musician who are recording with headphones...

that is what my Antelope shows when I have the issue. The problem started when I installed the RME, never had this before.
I didn't say that I use Pro Tools 12.8.1

I don't know because when it happens the computer is totally blocked and I have no other chance than restart. I could keep TotalMix on the second monitor waiting for the next crash in order to check it...

Apart from the stop problem of audio: your log files always include tons of easy to read errors of other services that might be a reason for the audio issue to happen. Did you have a look yourself? Maybe you could disable all that stuff failing over and over again...

I uninstalled Google Drive and Mega the day you wrote me this last message and I had not issues anymore. Maybe it sounds a little strange but it worked! Do you suggest me about updating operating system? Are High Sierra or Mojave very stable? Thank you so much!
