Topic: RME ADI 8 Pro Analog Output 1+2 heavy clicks and pops

Hello to all,
my good old RME ADI 8 is producing heavy crackles on Analog Out 1+2.
Exchanging the unit with the Synthax ADI 8 AE edition in same wordclocked Setup works without any problem.

Any ideas what could be broken, I already exchanged the power supply, without luck, the issue is still there.

Loopback ADAT out to in still shows this problem. As soon as the ADAT In signal is active, the Analog 1+2 produces very hard clicks and pops.

Any ideas would be very helpful.

Not a typical or known issue. Source signal optical? Maybe just these defective. I would recommend to send it in for checking.
