Topic: The Magic of the Single-Ended Amplification Stage

Hi,

For many years I used to have a strong believe in using the best balanced amplifiers and cables for my headphones, nevertheless  I always felt that there was something missing.

Yesterday I removed all the amplifiers and replaced the headphones balanced cables with single-ended ones and connected them directly to my ADI-2 DAC units and the results were astonishingly unbelievable; I know it is a Know-How thing or a deep hidden secret, it doesn’t really matter to me because my ears and hearts are above the clouds.

Well it depends on exactly which headphones. I have headphones which are much happier running off tubes, or high power amps. I have other headphones that the RME drives beautifully.
