Topic: Fireface 800 on mac without firewire ? connect with babyface.. ?

I have a fireface 800 and I also have one of the old babyface.
I need to buy a new mac. But no new macs has got a firewire connection.
Do you know of any solution that can make is possible to use my fireface 800 on a mac without firewire ?
maybe a converter ?
or is there a way to connect my fireface 800 to my babyface and use the usb connection between the babyface and a new mac ?

Yes, FF800 in stand-alone operation mode via ADAT to BBF.
But you need still the FF800 connected via Firewire to configure the routing.

Otherwise tunderbolt to firewire adapter, but there other ppl need to tell you what to get and how solid this is.

Easiest and best option featurewise and for operational reasons.. sell both, get UFX II or UFX+ optional with ARC USB.
