Topic: Babyface Pro: max Voltage for external power supply

Hello!

1. Can anybody tell me what is the max DC Voltage to drive a Babyface Pro by an external power supply?

According to the manual under 7.1 a power supply should output an voltage between 9-14 Volt DC, at least 1A and have a connector pinout with: Tip = +, sleeve = - .
In the Rest of the manual the voltage range is specified from 9 V to only 12V DC.
Somebody in this forum wrote that the max voltage would be 18V DC. But I couldn't verify this in any official documentation.

The RME power supply "NT-RME-2" is specified on the output side with: 12V DC, 2A

so what is the max V DC?

2. what size does the coaxial connector have in mm ?

thanks for your help!

Re: Babyface Pro: max Voltage for external power supply

9-14 Volt is recommended. 18 V is the limit for triggering the internal overvoltage protection. Diameter is 5.5/2.1 mm.
