Topic: Bluetooth / iMac I/O crash on turning off / disconnecting Fireface UC

Greetings,

I would like to hear your opinions and see if any other people experience the same issue.

In a nutshell:

When I disconnect my FireFace UC from my 2018 iMac (running macOS 10.15.2), occasionally, this breaks the connection to my wireless peripherals. Mouse and keyboard don't work anymore, and the bluetooth icon in the top right shows as "broken" (bluetooth logo with stripe across it).

My FireFace UC is running the latest firmware (v138) and drivers (v3.16).

I was wondering whether this is a known issue, or just exclusive to my setup.

Thank you for your answers and attention.

Re: Bluetooth / iMac I/O crash on turning off / disconnecting Fireface UC

I have a Macbook Pro 2016 with Touch Bar that does the same. The USB bus crashes, taking out Bluetooth and any other USB connections if I unplug any USB sound card. I have not found any way to recover except restart the Mac. Seems to be an Apple hardware issue.
