Topic: Latest Driver 4.30 in hdsp 9632 not recognized in Windows 10

I think it's the first time that happens .. Today I downloaded the latest 4.30 audio driver for 9632 hdsp on the latest updated version of Windows 10: the installation went well the plugins in the taskbar appeared, as always, but in the panel controls have not appeared, and have not been recognized ... So no sound ... Fortunately I had saved version 4.29 otherwise now I would be without audio ... 4.29 works correctly. Thank.

Deatils please - what panel? What controls? I had tested the driver and saw no problem anywhere.

The Same with HDSP 9652 with windows 7 / 64Bits

The Control Panel of DSP don't open

The TotalMix don't open

in the device manager tell me that there are a problem with digital signature

Same with HDSPe expresscard with multiface II in windows 7 pro 64-bit.

Installed latest driver 4.30 and the device is shown with exclamation mark with device status:

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

Will use 4.29 for the time being.

We are working on getting the digital signatures compatible to Windows 7 again. The formerly used signature expired, 4.30 includes a new one. While we can reproduce this on Windows 7 we can't on Windows 10, and there is no reason it shouldn't work with Windows 10 unless you have disabled internet access and use an older, not updated OS version. Then the signature engine might not be up to date.

I uploaded a new version (rmeinstaller.exe date from today, driver date itself is not changed) that worked on my Windows 7 computer. Please try if it works for you as well.

Multiface I not recognized under windows 10 with today's 4.30 driver, The soud is set to AMD graphic card, Multiface is not available.  rolled back to 4.29.
System:
I5-9400F

No audio device is installed because the number of WDM devices is reset to 0 in the Settings dialog. Try again...

Looks like I'm pretty much dead in the water now.  Device manager shows my 2 hdsp9632 cards as "Multimedia Audio Controller" with no driver installed.  The installers for 4.30 and 4.29 both fail.

Remove both cards, clean their PCI gold contacts with a soft rubber eraser, then insert only one card and try to install the driver (unless that doesn't automatically happen). If it worked add the second card...

Thanks for the reply.  Installer finished, but the cards are still not recognized.

In Device Manager, they used to show under Sound, video and game controllers as HDSP9632.  Now they show up as Multimedia Audio Controller with no driver attached.

The cards are either defective, or the motherboard is, or there changed something in the system/OS or BIOS. It seem the cards Device ID is wrong and doesn't match the one in the driver, so the driver is not loaded for them.

For the above: If you go to Properties / Details, what Hardware ID is shown there?

Well, I've got it working.  I removed the cards, removed all RME drivers with "Programs and features", reinstalled the 4.30 driver, Reinstalled the cards, and voila, everything works as it did before, but with the new driver.  Thanks for your help, you triggered some ideas for me to try.

Good to hear that you got everything sorted now, Brett! I've got one of these up and running, too - never had a problem, except for finding motherboards with a pci slot. Fantastic mileage on these soundcards, cudos to RME for making computer hardware with a lifespan that is surreal in the computer world.

I've also got one of the extra output daughter-boards connected to my HDSP 9632.

I apologize if not I have replied but I really forgot, then I had formatted the PC and I no longer thought about this problem. I also tried the latest version but it always gives me the same problem. The icons appear correctly in the taskbar and open normally. But the audio is not recognized in the audio settings of Windows 10. I have therefore only the HDMI audio of the video card and no Rme.

Got the same issue today, RME ok but not showing in W10 sound cards on both PCs here
