Topic: Aio Clarett octopre TEB high samplerate 96khz

Hello everyone!

I currently have a clarett octopre, alongside with the hdspe aio.
When I connect both devices through adat I can only achieve a samplerate of 48khz.
After searching through the manual I can see that the adat connectors only support up to 48khz.

How am I supposed to bring 96khz quality recordings to the aio now?

The TEB which should be capable of doing so is discontinued.

Hello,

96k will work fine (with up to 4 channels). This is clearly stated in the manual... What exactly did you try to do?

Re: Aio Clarett octopre TEB high samplerate 96khz

Hello,

Thank you very much for the fast reply.
I've set the samplerate on the aio to 96khz and also the clarett is set to 96khz.

I've also tried switching ADAT In under AEB / TEB.

The aio is setup as a master, and the octopre as a slave.

As shown in the picture:

In the picture I can see the adat locking to 48khz.
Is this due to the samplerate 96khz being a multiple of 48khz then?

I've misread the manual several times, I apologize, I'm quite new to adat and samplerate conversion.

The parts below got me confused.
"Connection to a TEB (TDIF Expansion Board). The highest sample rate is 96 kHz, the 4-channel Double Wire mode (S/MUX) is automatically activated in Double Speed mode. Se-lect AEB /TEB ADAT In in the Settings dialog."

"This  internal  ADAT  output  carries  the  same  audio  data  as  the  optical  output  ADAT  in  ADAT  mode.  Connecting  an  AEB4-O  or  AEB8-O,  the  highest  sample  rate  is  48  kHz.  Connecting  a  TEB the highest sample rate is 96 kHz"

Re: Aio Clarett octopre TEB high samplerate 96khz

See manual page 16..
You set SPDIF In to Optical (2ch) but you need ADAT protocol (8ch) on the optical input.
So try to set SPDIF In to "Coaxial", then the optical Input should talk ADAT protocol again.

Thank you for your response ramses.
I've switched the SPDIF In to Coaxial,

I do receive sound over the adat, the input sync still remains on 48 kHz though.
Is this because the 96kHz samplerate is divided as multiple 48kHz channels?
