Topic: Before I buy...

I'm looking at buying the Fireface UFX+, but have a basic question (forgive me if it's obvious!). 

Is the analogue mic/line recording level controlled purely through TotalMix? 

The reason I ask is that I have the legacy Fireface 800 but I've never used TotalMix with it, recording gain levels have always been controlled via the front panel knobs.

Yes through TM FX, its an excellent device, go for it !

The signal inputs of the front panel inputs can be controlled via the menu system and knobs on the front panel, in addition to within TM FX. The rear inputs can only be controlled via TM FX.
