Topic: Computer Not recognizing UFX +

I was using my UFX + via usb on MacPro Catalina 10.15.2, having no issues.

I wanted to utilize the thunderbolt connection on UFX + so I ordered the "Star-Tech TBT3TBTADAP" thunderbolt 2-3 adapter, as listed in the manual.

I De-Installed the Drivers

And "Successfully" installed thunderbolt  UFX+ driver 1.12

Can't open "totalmix"
Can't open "Rme Thunderbolt Settings"
Can't get the computer to recognize UFX+

What am I missing??

Thank you

Re: Computer Not recognizing UFX +

I was aware of this and gave permission the first time.
Subsequently have tried to delete drivers following manual instructions and reinstall with no success. Strangely upon reinstalling I have not been prompted to "allow" "RME GmbH" in security settings.

Re: Computer Not recognizing UFX +

Nearly the same issue here:
After upgrading to Catalina, my UFX+ is not recognized.
Deleted all the drivers and reinstalled them.
In System Preferences nothing is blocked.

I can use the UFX+ once after installation.
Next day, it is not seen by the iMac.

Re: Computer Not recognizing UFX +

I got it.
This is what i did:

1) Delete these Files by hand:

USB
/Applications/Fireface USB Settings
/Applications/Totalmix
/Library/Extensions/FirefaceUSB.kext /Users/username/Library/Preferences/de.rme-audio.TotalmixFX.plist /Users/username/Library/Preferences/de.rme-audio.Fireface_USB_Settings.plist /Library/LaunchAgents/de.rme-audio.firefaceUSBAgent.plist

Thunderbolt
/Applications/RME Thunderbolt Settings
/Applications/Totalmix
/Library/Extensions/RMEPCIeAudio.kext /Users/username/Library/Preferences/de.rme-audio.TotalmixFX.plist /Users/username/Library/Preferences/de.rme-audio.RMEThunderboltSettings.plist /Library/LaunchAgents/de.rme-audio.RMEPCIeAgent.plist

2) Reboot

3) Go to System Preferences - Security
Switch App-Download to App Store

4) Reboot

5) Download UFX+-Driver and Install. If promoted, click "allow".

6) Reboot

7) Go to System Preferences -> Security and allow RME Software to be opened.
Done! :-)
Now you can switch Security Settings back to App Store and verified Developers, if you wish.

Re: Computer Not recognizing UFX +

Brilliant midifail - worked for me with Raydat on new Mac Pro on Catalina, finally managed to get drivers to load and seems to be running fine. I didn't need to delete anything just changed the App Store setting and ran the installer again and gave it permission from the security prefs - the Raydat then kicked into life.

This has been driving me nuts!

Many, many, thanks!
